On the B2 level of the Kabukiza Theatre is Kobikicho Square where a giant lantern will welcome you to stores selling kabuki-related goods and food. It’s a fun shopping experience and you can get a taste of a lively kabuki festival atmosphere without actually going to the show.

Stores selling “kumadori” (kabuki-style makeup) design goods – “Kumadori” on everything from caramels to T-shirts to facial treatment masks.
Japanese traditional dolls and gifts.
A very good selection of reasonably priced kimonos and yukatas (cotton kimonos) and obis (sashes) are sold here. You can even get a lesson on how to wear a kimono/yukata.
There’s even a store with “Snoopy goes to Kabuki” goods.
